What Are the Benefits of Eating Raw Local Honey?
- Raw honey has not been heavily processed, like many other types of honey available in stores. This means it contains a high level of vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants.
- Some antioxidants in raw, local honey have been proven to lessen the chances of severe illness and diseases from posing a risk to the body.
- Consuming local honey regularly means that digestion in your body can improve. The honey contains prebiotics, which can positively benefit the digestive system's overall functions.
- It’s not uncommon for cough drops and other cold and flu products to contain honey, and there is a reason for this. Honey has the ability to ease stomach aches and coughs, and it also has antibacterial attributes.
